Stephen Livanos Stefanos Livanos is a South African born Greek who emigrated with his family to Perth, Australia, in 2001. Stefanos is an accomplished bouzouki player who received tuition from South Africas' finest exponent of the bouzouki - Georgos Derbenis. Stefanos also embraces his heritage through traditional greek folk dancing and has attained some of the highest accolades in this field. His studies commenced from the early age of 6 under the guidance of the highly respected Mrs Mary Vassiliou and was the lead dancer at the prestigious SAHETI school during his graduate year. In 2009 Stefanos was inducted into the world renowned Dora Stratou Theatre as a lifetime dancer, where he received tuition in music and dance from Greece's finest. Stefanos is committed to sharing his gifts of music and dance with others, particularly the younger generation and has recently established the Heritage Traditional Greek Folk Dancing project (www.hellenicdance.com.au) focused on the succession of culture to the next generation.
